Converting gymnasium into warm and dry space 2018
Prefabrication to the fore with a 2 week window at Whangaparoa College Gymnasium.
The existing school sports hall had seen better days. Nets and building paper bore the brunt of years of ball impact and wear and tear, and condensation posed significant health and safety issues on cold winter mornings. They gym was cold, damp, noisy and tired.
During the July school holidays, 530m² of 160 pre-cut SIPs were stacked, pre-sprayed with finishing coats, and installed in time for students return to school.
